Mayang Sari Beach Resort is an hour’s ferry ride from Singapore City and Hang Nadim Airport on Batam Island. A free roundtrip shuttle to the pier is provided. The hotel provides free transfers from and to Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal.

Situated on a beautiful beach with clear water and soft sand. Staff are friends and breakfast is good.

We paid 60 Singapore dollars for a medium vegetarian pizza and two cocktails - which tasted like they had no alcohol in them.

Excellent location to beach, just steps to the beach

Shuttle bus was infrequent during g weekdays. No information was communicated to guests upon check in. Nirwana still needs more work opening up for visitors post covid

in general, it was a lovely experience, staying in this resort with such a beautiful beach

The hotel room is very clean, and the surroundings are so beautiful, including the beach! The rooms are very spacious. We even thought it would be nice to have the option to squeeze four beds into one room so 4 of us can be happily sleeping together.

The breakfast buffet had quite limited options. Also when the breakfast time is over, we were requested to finish and leave as soon as possible because they needed to clean up the place.

Superb!

We stayed at the Mayang Sari several times when we lived in Singapore around 25 years ago, so we were excited to go back this year. Had a slight concern that it might not be everything that we remembered, but we needn't have worried, it was wonderful and even better than we hoped. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the accommodation was superb and very clean and the beach was beautiful. Although Mayang Sari is now part of the larger Nirwana resort, it still had a quiet intimate feel, but it was nice to be able to use the lovely pool at the main resort hotel, the seafood restaurant and the Calypso floating bar, where we drank cocktails and watched the incredible sunset. I hope we can go back again one day.

Beach was fantastic. Room was incredible. Service was perfect. Let them know of my wife's birthday and they had a cake for her. Perfect vacation.

The staff were very friendly and extremely accomodating by letting us check in earlier as we arrived extremely early on the island. Thank you very much.

Unfortunately the resort is situated in an area where tar and rubbish reaches the beach. Although lovely workers clean it every day, you can't avoid having tar on your feet.

Spacious room, own terrace and right on the beach.

Some facilities shut down including beach bar. Beach cleaned daily but did not remove tat problem. Now looking a bit tired. Theft of silly small items left outside at night.

The comfort, the site and the smiling staff.

Even if the rooms have been renovated with taste,the price for weekdays is too high. At 150/175,I would go every other month instead of once a year. The emptiness is such that, despite the quitness,one feel a bit oppressed.

Nice room,friendly personak, but huge pollution issue

Big room and clean, nice view, personal really friendly

HUGE Problem but not from the resort, but it is worlwide issue... oil/tar pollution. Morning, people cleaning the beach from oil pollution from the boat... really sad to see it, basically better to not swim in the sea... and also walk on the beach. You will find your foot with oil on it after few hours...

excellent team service. choice of food is great if you like indian food and indonesian. The team is careful and attentive to yr needs

Sailing equipment are in bad condition. Don’t go there if you expect to sail the laser. Their windsurf are not well maintained.

Misleading advertising, comfy room, average food.

Comfy beds, good sized rooms, staff quite attentive to your needs.

Misleading advertising. No mention of fact that Mayang Sari itself has nearly no facilities. Most facilities are part of a bigger property and require travelling to get to. For instance there is no pool at Mayang Sari, you need to walk 10-15 mins next door or take a shuttle bus (only every 30 mins) to get to it. One restaurant at the property, other restaurants at other resorts. Atrocious Internet, barely better than dual-up. Food at Singapore prices and only average.

Very friendly staff who were only too happy to help.

Very friendly staff who were only too happy to help. The villa was a brilliant size and beautifully maintained and cleaned. Good selection sun beds and hammocks to relax in. Regular shuttle service to other areas of resort.

It was not clear that some facilities were elsewhere in the Nirwana Resort, this was not an issue but should be made more clear as it may matter to some people. Food and drink is quite expensive, 2 people for 4 nights came to nearly sg$1000 and we didn’t drink lots or order expensive food. During the week when it is quieter, not all facilities are well-staffed (staff were very helpful if requests were made)

Verry relaxing stay in a very friendly place and a lot of sunshine for the rainseason

Breakfast was brilliant. Staff super friendly. Location is perfect direkt next to the beach. From our room it were 15 meter to the beach so it is like you have the ocean in your garden, absolute perfect.

The oil which is on most of the days at the beach. It is cleand every day and had not the experience of dirty water, but it destroys the paradise feeling. Also the waste which comes out of the see is a problem if you care too much about it. This seems to be a Problem of a lot of Indonesian beaches. We really destroy our planet.

The beach is gorgeous and the sea view chalet is comfortable...

The beach is gorgeous and the sea view chalet is comfortable, large and clean. Staff were all wonderful.

Our sun loungers and hammock looked old and frayed - the beach is so beautiful, it's a shame not to be able to enjoy it on more comfortable furniture.

The chalet is clean and beautiful. Nice and clean private beach. Staffs are very friendly and helpful.

The food in the resort are expensive but the service is excellent.
